Oakland Forward is made up of grassroots, community centered activists, organizers, and changemakers who are passionate about making real change and improvement for Black and Brown communities that exist all over the county, and beyond!
The impact of Oakland Forward is felt throughout the county, as we work to Engage, Equip and Empower residents from all walks of life. Our programs and services have helped countless individuals and families access the resources and support they need to thrive, and our advocacy efforts have helped shape public policy in ways that benefit marginalized communities. By building a strong and supportive network of activists and advocates, we are working towards a future where all residents of Oakland County can live free from discrimination, oppression, and inequality.

Pontiac Policy Council
Who Is P2C?
The Pontiac Policy Council's (P2C) objective is to promote education on local, state, and federal policy through civic involvement by providing the Pontiac community with the tools and resources needed to advocate for policy change. P2C provides a platform for the community's resources and joint efforts to move Pontiac forward economically, politically, and socially. P2C intends to form a coalition of committed community agencies, grassroots organizations, and institutions to engage, educate, and empower Pontiac locals.
Pontiac Policy Council aspires to provide a conduit for political and policy initiatives that promote progressive change and social justice, resulting in equity and equal opportunity. P2C will accomplish this by developing a cohesive, collaborative network that prioritizes political and policy entrepreneurship in order to bring about long-term, systemic change in the City of Pontiac through a grassroots, bottom-up approach.
